Part of the ministry of Fishtank Creatives is to help resource and train local church worship leaders and musicians.  As well as performing in concert situations, the guys in Phatfish have spent decades helping lead worship both in their local church and at larger events in the UK and overseas.  Having worked with many well established worship leaders (such as Stuart Townend, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Kate Simmonds, Simon Brading, Paul Oakley, Graham Kendrick and Martyn Layzell), as well as in their own right , Phatfish are uniquely placed to offer insight and help to musicians seeking to use their talents in a worship context.

Over the years the members of Phatfish have regularly presented seminars about how to work effectively as a band, as well as looking at the role of specific instruments and how they can best be used in the local church.  This led to the production of a double CD disk set called ‘Working as a Band’ which covers much of the teaching material, and also offers rehearsal tracks for musicians to practice along with at home.
